I'm Dan Runion — a product manager with 25 years across software development, product ownership, Agile coaching, and IT leadership. I use Claude Code as my engineering team to ship real AI-powered applications.

My background as a developer turned PM turned Director of IT PMO means I can talk to engineers, executives, and customers in their own language. I've managed 15 PMs and a $30-50M IT portfolio, shipped 4 products from concept to marketplace launch, owned a sales funnel doing 300-500 daily sales, and introduced Agile to teams that had never worked that way.

Now I'm building Cascade — an AI-native platform with a working prototype that replaces manual planning overhead with LLM-powered decomposition. The core insight came from 25 years watching the same planning chain break the same way at every company.

What I'm Looking For

I'm targeting AI Product Manager roles — where I can do the product management work while leveraging AI to validate thinking, test hypotheses, and build alongside engineers. I'm also open to Scrum Master and Release Train Engineer roles where I can deliver immediate value while working toward the AI PM goal. I do my best work in small to medium-sized companies where I can have real ownership.
